Betaab Valley is a verdant meadow ringed by pine forest and snow peaks, about 7 km from Pahalgam in Anantnag district. Originally called Hagan Valley, it was renamed after the 1983 Bollywood film Betaab was shot here. Threaded by a stream and easily accessible, it is the most popular short excursion from Pahalgam, ideal for a relaxed half-day.
