Days 1-2: Srinagar, at an easy pace

Arrive and settle in - a hotel with easy access rather than a remote houseboat mooring is often more practical with young kids or grandparents in the group. Day 2 covers the Mughal Gardens in the morning only, leaving the afternoon free rather than adding a second sightseeing stop.

Days 3-4: Gulmarg

Gulmarg's Gondola works well for most ages, and the meadow itself is an easy, flat area for kids to run around in. Two nights here, rather than a rushed day trip, avoids a long single-day round drive with tired children.

Days 5-6: Pahalgam and departure

Pahalgam's Lidder riverside is genuinely one of the easier family stops in Kashmir - flat walking areas, pony rides for kids, and a slower overall rhythm than Gulmarg. Keep day 6 light before the drive back to Srinagar for departure.
