Days 1-2: Srinagar and a Dal Lake houseboat night
Arrive and check into a Dal Lake houseboat for at least one night - this is the single most requested honeymoon experience in Kashmir, and worth prioritising over a hotel for at least part of the stay. Day 2 covers the Mughal Gardens and a sunset shikara ride, kept deliberately light rather than a full sightseeing day.
Days 3-4: Gulmarg
Move to Gulmarg for two nights. The Gondola ride is the highlight, but leave the second day unstructured - a walk through the meadow, or simply time at the hotel with the mountain view, matters more here than a packed itinerary.
