What Makes Gurez Valley Extraordinary
Gurez is the last inhabited valley before the Line of Control in this sector. - Razdan Pass to Dawar, Gurez (about 40 km, ~1.5 hrs): The road descends into the valley. Dawar is the main settlement and the location of the tourist rest house.

What to Do in Gurez Valley
Walk along the Kishanganga river: The Kishanganga (called Neelum River in Pakistan-administered Kashmir) flows through the centre of the valley in a wide, glacier-fed stream. The riverside walk from Dawar toward Kanzalwan village (8 km upstream) is the most scenic route in the valley.
Visit a Dard village: The wooden architecture of Dard houses in Tulail sub-division (30 km beyond Dawar) is extraordinary - three-storey wooden structures with carved facades. Ask your driver or the rest house manager to arrange a visit.
