What is a Kashmir DMC?

A Destination Management Company (DMC) is a local ground-operations partner in a destination. It books the hotels, houseboats and transport, plans the day-by-day logistics and supports travellers on the ground, so a travel agent or tour operator based anywhere else can sell Kashmir trips without a local office, local contracts or local staff.

How are partner rates priced, and can I see my margin?

Every room and meal plan in the partner portal shows two numbers side by side: your partner rate and the public price on viakashmir.in. The partner rate is never higher than the public price, so the gap is your margin and you see it before you quote. Hotel rate changes go live only after our Srinagar team checks and approves them, so the rate you quote is the rate we confirm.

Can I white-label the itineraries and invoices Via Kashmir sends my clients?

Yes. Once you're set up as a partner, every Quotation, Invoice and Plan of Action we generate for your bookings carries your company's logo, contact details and bank details instead of Via Kashmir's, so your clients see your brand throughout.

What local support do my travellers get in Kashmir?

Our team is based in Srinagar. Partner questions get a reply within 30 minutes, 9am to 9pm every day, on WhatsApp, phone or email. Once a trip is running, on-trip problems such as a late pickup, a room change or a road closure are handled on WhatsApp around the clock by the same local team, and you are kept informed.

Does Via Kashmir have real local inventory in Kashmir, or is this a lead-gen arrangement?

Real inventory: a network of hotels, houseboats, cabs and shikaras across Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg and Leh, with live rates on viakashmir.in, verified by our own Srinagar team. It is not a directory of unverified third-party listings and we do not sell your enquiry on to anyone else.

How do payments work for partner bookings?

Bookings are prepaid in full before confirmation until a credit arrangement is agreed with Via Kashmir in writing. Every quote states its own cancellation and refund rules before you confirm, and those are the rules that apply.

What documents do I need to become a Kashmir DMC partner?

Agencies in India upload a PAN card, a business registration (incorporation, LLP, partnership deed or shop and establishment registration), an office address proof and the owner or director ID. GST, Ministry of Tourism recognition and IATA or TAAI membership are optional. Agencies outside India upload a trade licence or company registration and the owner passport. We also call every applicant before approval, which keeps partner rates with genuine businesses only.

Do you work with travel agents outside Kashmir and outside India?

Yes. The partnership is built for agents who sell Kashmir from elsewhere: anywhere in India, and abroad. Foreign agencies apply with their own country documents, and white-labeled quotes and invoices carry your company details.

Is the itinerary builder really free for partners?

Yes. Approved Via Kashmir partners get the itinerary builder and travel CRM at no cost, with Kashmir hotels, houseboats, cabs and activities already loaded at your partner rates. You build and brand your own itineraries, add your margin and send them to clients, without paying a separate software subscription.

How fast can I get a quote for my client?

Message the partner desk with your client's dates, destinations and group size and you get a reply within 30 minutes (9am to 9pm). A complete itemised quote built on live inventory usually follows within hours, not days. With the builder you can price it yourself in minutes.

Is there a minimum booking volume to become a partner?

No fixed minimum. Tell us your typical volume and we set up a partnership that fits it, from occasional bookings to a regular pipeline.

How do I choose a good DMC in Kashmir?

Check five things: a real office and team in Kashmir (not a call centre elsewhere), live inventory you can see rather than a PDF rate card, partner rates shown against the public price so your margin is clear, written payment and cancellation terms, and a named contact who answers during the trip. Ask any DMC you are considering, including us, to show all five before you send a booking.
